Erin moved to Westfield from Walnut Creek, CA in July 2021 with her husband, 3 kids, and puppy. She didn’t start her career as an educator, but turned her passion for children and learning into a career in 2007 after already running her own medical distribution company. She graduated with a BS in Business Management from Indiana University, and also has General Ed K-6 and Special Ed K-12 certifications from Texas State. She has almost completed her license in Educational Therapy from UC Riverside. Erin has proven success in a classroom by inspiring children to ignite their imaginations and instilling in them a love of learning. She has taught 2nd and 5th grades, worked as a behavioral and a learning specialist for grades K-6, and is currently an educational therapist working one-on-one with clients who have specific learning disabilities. Erin truly believes that each child has something special that can be built upon, and it’s imperative to identify and teach to the unique way each one learns. She loves to create confidence in her students/clients and strives to teach them how to think, not what to think. When she is not “learning,” you can find her being active with her family, cooking, exercising, gardening, or reading. God has blessed her with this new journey at Hamilton Ridge Academy and she is overjoyed by the opportunity to create a nurturing school environment that builds upon weaknesses and capitalizes on strengths.
